Checklist of Ways Your Presbytery Serves Your Church
At the February 2019 stated presbytery meeting, attendees in small groups filled out this checklist and discussed ways the presbytery has served and assisted churches and how the presbytery could improve its helpful connections to churches. We welcome sessions and others using this checklist to encourage further discussion and feedback.
Resources on Book of Order Proposed Amendments
for Presbytery vote in February 2019
These resources help presbyters prepare to vote on the 10 proposed constitutional amendments at the stated presbytery meeting on February 9, 2019. The official amendment texts are in the Proposed Amendments to the Constitution 2018 document prepared by the Office of the General Assembly (OGA). That document includes summaries of comments from various groups on the proposed changes. The Association of Stated Clerks, a national organization of clerks serving presbyteries and synods, has also prepared an analysis that supplements the OGA amendments book. A very limited number of OGA amendment book copies will be available at the February 9 presbytery meeting, so presbyters are advised to make their own copies and study them prior to the meeting.

The Presbytery has adopted this policy to apply to meetings, events or activities that are explicitly sponsored or financially underwritten by the Presbytery and that include or involve children under the age of 18, either as the focus of the event or in a separate child care setting for an adult event. The Leadership Council has appointed Stated Clerk Larry Hollar as the Designated Official under this policy. For questions or interpretations, email the Stated Clerk or call 937-258-8118.

Please complete this form and return it within 10 days after your congregation has approved your pastor’s compensation for 2019, if you have an installed or designated pastor (do not use this form for stated supply, interim or CRE positions). Please return the report even if there are no changes approved at the congregational meeting. Also at the same time please send the Presbytery a copy of your church’s annual report to the congregation used at your congregational meeting.
